2011 Year End Report

Normally at this time of year we are all looking forward to our end of year Holiday Party, volunteer awards and High Score/High Point Awards.  This year was a year of changes for our club.  We welcomed our new chairperson, Bob Weins and our new show secretary, Carole Calderwood.  Our June triple-rated show was cancelled due to the Equine Herpes Virus, but our October triple-rated show, with some wonderful facilities changes, was a great success.

Bob Weins and the board worked hard to create and pass our new Chapter Standing Rules to bring our Chapter in line with CDS central office requirements. We also changed our competition year to match the USEF calendar year of Dec 1 to Nov 30. 

Since we only had one show (our Oct. Show), we decided to combine our October 30, 2011 show with our December 4, 2011 Toys for Tots Schooling Show and our June 9th & 10th 2012 show, for our 2012 High Score/High Point Awards. We will be looking for a host for our awards party sometime at the end of next summer.  Remember, in order to be eligible for our 2012 High Score/High Point Awards, you will need to be a member of Fresno CDS in good standing and have completed your volunteer requirements. You must be a current CDS member, on the date of the show, for those points to be accepted.  Big thanks to 21 of our members that have completed their volunteer requirements for the 2012 year. (Most of these members have given many more hours to the club than the minimum requirements!)
